New Year's Resolutions I Can Keep... version 2006

In checking over my 2005 resolutions, I found that I kept all but two of them. Here's a recap:
-Embrace my lack of impulse control
-take more road trips just because
-paint more
-write a song
-laugh until I can't breathe at least once a week
-go to the late movie at least once a month
-use the word "steatopygia" at least two times during the year
-blog incessantly
-plant some flower bulbs
-buy some new towels & washcloths and toss out the rags we've been using
-learn to use the Yamaha S08 keyboard at church
-compulsively collect pens and pencils
-take more pictures of my kids

I did them all except for the flower bulbs and the road trips. I've gotten pretty good at using the Yamaha S08 at church as well as the Ensoniq synthesizer; I certainly know a lot more about what they can do. I expect to know even more by next year. I did paint, and I did write (well, co-write) a song.

So here are some resolutions for 2006 that I do think I can keep:

-embark on a project to raise the $$ to buy myself a keyboard
-paint more
-write two new songs
-get more sleep
-use the word "borborygmus" at least twice during the year
-go on a mission trip
-make homemade guacamole at least once a month
-get a massage
-blog incessantly (yes, a repeat of last year, but it's practically a guarantee)
-recite something backwards at least once a week
-stop quoting Napoleon Dynamite (okay, that one will be difficult, but I'm going to try)
-use every single one of my sick days

There. An even dozen. Let's see if I can do them...
