Sometimes I feel like I'm a terrible mom

Until I hear something like this from one of my students. He's a senior and had to get a schedule change recently because he had to drop off the varsity basketball team. He was getting some heat about this because some were assuming it was laziness. He hadn't said anything to anyone about it, though, because the real reason was that he had had to get a third job in order to pay for his mom's rehab.

I really don't have any words.
