Home!

We would've arrived a little earlier, but as we were driving by Osceola on I-35, they were having their municipal fireworks show, so I pulled over to the rest area there and we enjoyed the spectacle. We hadn't thought we'd get to see a fireworks display this year because of traveling, but in fact we got to enjoy them starting in Kansas City. It wasn't dark yet in KC, but people in yards all over were already enjoying their own, and there was no breeze, so there was a hazy gray cloud hanging over the whole place... and the smell of sulfur. Ahhhhh....

And now we're home. Rick has the house all tidy, and immediately put the kids to bed. Can life get any better?

Of course, I do have to get up and go to class in the morning, but not until 11:30. Yippeee! And I get to have band practice tomorrow night, too.

Saturday evening at around 7 PM at the Ankeny bandshell: SoulFire!! Be there!!
