Kid Cowboy

This photo is of one of my freshman students involved in his favorite hobby. He's also ranked second in his class academically. He shared with me this photo of himself roping in last year's Junior High National Finals, and I thought you should see him. Here's another one, at a different rodeo:



The white streak in front of the horse and the illusion that he's been Photoshopped over that cowboy in the background is just that -- an illusion. When I take the high-res original and do a super-closeup, the white streak is really part of the horse's rein, and there's a dark shadow on his jeans that looks like it blends right into the background. Goofy, yes, but it's real.
