Spring has sprung!

I knew that spring had officially arrived here in Des Moines when I came home from work two days ago and spotted these in the backyard. My heart leaped with happiness -- what does that say about me, that just seein' some little purple weeds in the yard can make me THAT happy? Anyway, enjoy:
