Blooming things

North Texas is beginning to bloom everywhere. We have a redbud:



A delightful little wild plum (complete with sweet fragrance) peeking out along a forgotten roadside:


And one of my favorite spring shrubs, the flowering quince:


I love to watch the little blooms waking up all over the countryside. I noticed yesterday that even my mom's bluebonnets are just beginning to form their flowers. This year will be the first time I've seen real bluebonnets blooming in over a decade. I can't wait!
